Privacy Policy

TL;DR

Hermes Console collects no data about you. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no accounts, no servers of ours. Your data lives only on your device and on your own Hermes Agent server.

1. What data we collect

None. Hermes Console does not collect, transmit, or store personal information on any server controlled by us. We operate no backend, database, or analytics service of any kind.

2. Data you configure

The app stores locally, and only on your device, the configuration needed to connect to your Hermes Agent instance:

  • The URL of your Hermes gateway
  • Your API key — encrypted in the Android Keystore
  • App preferences (theme, settings)
  • Conversation history — stored locally only

This data never leaves your device except to communicate directly with the server you configure.

3. Network communication

The app communicates exclusively with the Hermes Agent gateway you specify, over the network you choose (Tailscale, LAN, or direct HTTPS). There are no third-party calls, tracking CDNs, or telemetry beacons.

4. Android permissions

Hermes Console requests the minimum permissions essential to its function: network access, camera only to scan the pairing QR, microphone only if you use voice dictation, and notifications if you enable approval alerts. It does not ask for location or contacts permissions.

5. Cookies and tracking

Neither the app nor this website uses tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children and does not collect data from anyone, regardless of age.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this same page with its new effective date.
